Last thursday was the Horror Hospital party at the Koornbeurs. The party was organised by the new members, and because none of them felt very artistic, they asked me if I could design the T-shirts for them. So I did.

The front )

The back )

These designs are black on white, but the shirts have been printed red on black. They're very pretty if I say so myself. It's very satisfying seeing about 25 people walking around in something you designed.

The party itself was great. And after the party I and a two other people stayed awake. We'd organised it a long time ago, and now it was finally happening. We'd decided to man the bar of the Triangle, the disco friday night, without having slept in between the party and the Triangle. So we hooked up a laptop to a beamer and sound system, and we watched films all night, morning and afternoon. I still had to go to uni for my project, so I missed a few hours of that, but we had great fun. And when the evening came, we were in great shape fro the Triangle. It went well, and no-one collapsed from lack of sleep. At least not until we were in our beds. I found mine at 7 in the morning, after having been awake for 47 hours. Of course, I slept the entire rest of the day...

I don't know.

Or rather, I do know. At least my head is starting to make some sense. It's clear to me what I feel for the girls I mentioned last week. It's not much, except for two girls, both of whom I've had the pleasure of some extended company with today. As in, we talked for a couple hours. Not at the same time though, one I know from uni, and the other from the Koornbeurs. I've discovered that I am in love with the girl from uni. She really makes the butterflies fly in my stomach every time I see her. The effect is pretty much instant and unescapable.
I also found out that I also have very strong feelings for the other girl. She is on my mind all the time, and I sometimes even feel she is more important than everything in the world, including myself. Which is something I never thought possible. But I'm not in love with her. If I had to choose, I'd probably go for the girl I know from the Koornbeurs, but I really can't choose at all. So I'm kinda stuck here. Both are really great girls, and I love the way they smile at me. Which, strangely, is almost exactly the same...

P.S.: I'm sorry if it may seem like I'm going all emo on you, but I can assure you, despite everything, I feel warm fuzzies throughout.

Last Friday, a girl from my old school I hadn't spoken to in two years told me on msn she missed me. And immediately afterwards she went offline. I've sent an email and some messages to ask why, but so far she's ignored me. Strange.

In other news, I seem to be falling in love much to easily. I'm not sure if I am right now, and it seems my crush of the day is cycling between a couple different girls. It's not very intense, but it is distracting.

I've been feeling terrible for the past few weeks, for various reasons, and today I thought I was finally over it. I was wrong. I went to the Triangle this evening, and it hit me again full force. Damn.

(Click here to post your own answers for this meme.)

I miss somebody right now. I don't watch much TV these days. I own lots of books.
I wear glasses or contact lenses. I love to play video games.  (Kinda, I used to play alot of them, and I still enjoy them a lot, but I don't really play much these days.) I've tried marijuana.
I've watched porn movies. × I have been the psycho-ex in a past relationship. I believe honesty is usually the best policy.
I curse sometimes. × I have changed a lot mentally over the last year. × I carry my knife/razor everywhere with me.
it goes on... )

I've finally moved to my new home! Just wanted to let you all know.

It's right here!

My new room is larger, cheaper, much closer to the university, and it has a great balcony! It's on the ninth floor, so I get a great view of Delft and the university campus. Right now, most of my stuff is still packed in boxes, and my old room is also still full of junk. I'll empty it in the next couple days. I'm still missing a bed and a good desk, but I'll manage.

I've made some anti-emo propaganda I'd like to share with you all.

First, I've made a banner:
Image hosting by Photobucket

And I've also made it in avatar form:
Image hosting by Photobucket

The images are png's with alpha transparencies, so Internet Explorer may not render them correctly. They'll probably show up fine in most other browsers. Also, they work best against a light background. Feel free to steal these images and help in the fight against emo!

What is it with last weekend?

Somehow, everybody seems to have been quite busy doing stuff. While the last weeks have been uneventful, several (a lot of) people have had big stuff/mucho fun stuff/other things happening. I won't mention the details, but the people I see daily, the people on LJ (and that's basically you Loons), people on forums I go to all had a lot to tell. I've heard from one person he even had to say no to aout five things because this weekend was full. And I haven't seen the news yet, but going by this, some major stuff has happened in the world too.

Anyway, it could just be me, but it really strikes me as odd. I wonder if there's some underlying mechanic to it all.

I just bought the new Rammstein album 'Rosenrot'! I must say it is excellent. It's more melodical and a bit more lyric oriented than their previous albums. It's a very varied album too, with the beautiful 'Ein Lied', which is very calm and introspective, 'Stirb nicht vor mir', which is very poppy, and 'Zerstören' which is very powerful, but with a twist at the end. My favourites after one listen are probably 'Mann gegen Mann' and 'Rosenrot'.

Update #21: On forum resurrection

Posted on 12 Aug 2005 at 14:04
Greetings to everyone.

I have not posted any updates here lately, because I really don't have anything I consider worth sharing. Well, that's actually not true, but I am a terrible writer (as in extremely slow because of perfectionism), so usually I don't like to take the trouble of creating a readable update. However, I have something I definitely want to share with you.

Most of you I know are Loons, and it mostly concerns you, but I direct this to everybody reading this. Most us Loons have come to know each other on the BillyBoyd.net forums. There we organised and became a separate entity, gathering at CheeseRealm, and it's forum especially, The Loony Bin. After this died, many Loons gathered at the OrangeBlossom forums, until Starr made Starrangers in the Night.

Lately SitN has become nearly dead. No new posts have been made for well over three weeks. Now I have two questions. The first is 'Why have you stopped coming?'. The second is 'Will you come back?'. That second question is also for the people who read this who are not Loons. You may want to look at http://sitn.says.it and decide if you might want to help revive this forum.

So please consider this.

Update #20: Fields of Rock

Posted on 19 Jun 2005 at 23:23
Current Mood: happy
Current Music: Rammstein - Dalai Lama
So yesterday was the festival of 'Fields of Rock'. It was great.

We (my and my sister), went there with our cousins, who happen to live five minutes away from the festival. We first saw some Amsterdam band, 'Skip the Rush', which was okay. After that we went to Motörhead. But it was very hot, so I bought a kilt first. Beats jeans every hot day! And hot it was. Motörhead was excellent.

After that, we went for some food, and discovered that the vegetarian falafel is very delicious. Then we went to see After Forever, which provided some excellent gothic-metal. When that was over, we sort of went to Dreadlock Pussy, and see the festival shops.

We had agreed to meet my cousins and their freinds at 18.30, before Audioslave. We hung out a bit, just lying on the grass, listening to the music, and when that finished, the first to last act came on stage. It was Black Sabbath. We decided to head towards the other main stage, so we could get a good spot for the last act, Rammstein! We secured a place about fifth row, before the middle of the stage.

We listened to Black Sabbath from there and watched them on big screens. They were all very old. Ozzy looked like a walking corpse. If you want to see what an undead looks like, look at him on stage. They played for 1.5 hours, so by the time Rammstein came on, we were waiting about two hours...

So, Rammstein. Of course, it was great. Zero interaction with the public. Not even a hello or goodbye. They finished the show twenty minutes before the scheduled end. Without saying goodbye. They were just... gone.
They've got some new tricks with flamethrowers. One involved Flake sitting in a big pan, with Till throwing fire at him. They've officially gone crazy. In other news, before everybody went offstage before the second part, the drummer threw his drum-sticks into the audience. Guess on whose head one landed? MINE!!! Unfortunately, I didn't immediately take it, and some girl took it. I tried to convince her to give it to me, as it did hit MY head, but it didn't work. BLEH!

But still, it was a great day.

Hmm, it's 4:30 IN THE MORNING. For some reason, I kinda forgot about the time... And I wanted to go to bed early tonight. Hmmm... Anyway, it's early, and I'm not really tired. BUT. It is also the beginning of the morning twilight. The sky is actually quite purple. And deeply purple. To bad Delft is 15 km from Rotterdam. I can nicely see the shape of the biggest city of the country reflected on the clouds in the most ugly shade of sodium-yellow. I really wish I had a photocamera... The birds have started singing too...

I mean the sky is this colour.

Well, I think I'll get some sleep now...
